Our catalog focuses on historical gardening works. We identify each work, author, original publication date, and formats on its product page where known. Many underlying texts are believed to be in the public domain in the United States; the status of an individual edition, translation, illustration, photograph, annotation, or other added material can differ.
What is included in our editions
We may provide cleaned or reformatted text, EPUB and PDF files, cover artwork, navigation, introductions, and reader guides. We do not claim exclusive copyright in source text that is in the public domain. Original editorial and design contributions may be protected to the extent allowed by law. Product pages describe what is included and any known limitations.
Sources and attribution
Our editors retain internal source and rights notes for works we publish. Where available and relevant, a product page identifies the source edition and public-domain status in the United States. We avoid using source-site branding in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement.
Rights questions
If you believe a product contains material used in error, or you can provide information about its source or rights status, please contact [email protected] with the product title and the specific material in question. We will review credible reports and take appropriate corrective action.
This page is a description of our current practices and is not a legal opinion or a representation about rights outside the United States.
